Das Deutsche Handwerk realised the 'Bocca della Verita' in front and inside the Neubau Polizeidirektion Rottweil as a part of the exhibition 'Kunst am Bau' in Rottweil.
Originally, the Bocca is 'the mouth of truth'. According to legend, a liar putting their hand inside the open mouth will have it bitten off.The Deutsche Handwerk reproduced the original Bocca -one in stone for outside the building and another in bronze for the inside.The book layout documents this project and includes all their past projects concerning 'Kunst am Bau'.
The 4-colour-book is printed with metallic-copper for cover and highlights. Inside the book is a sticker to take out showing the Bocca as a reproduction -from the reproduction itself.
